Thanks to everyone who participated in the trivia question challenge! We have a winner!

The prize was a copy of Mutants: On Genetic Variety and the Human Body

I received 15 responses, but only 2 correct answers. However, some of the responses were so entertaining, I wanted to give a prize for creativity! However, I only have one book to giveaway!

The question was: “Why are male mutation rates higher than female?”


Greater number of germ cell divisions

        . All female germ cells (eggs) are formed by about five months of foetal development. Males however are continually producing germ cells (sperm).
